Conclusion:

I learned that by trying different hair bleaches I can tell which ones are the healthiest ones and which ones are the most damaging ones for my hair. My hypothesis was correct since the “Blue Blue’ caused the most damage. My experiment wasn't so accurate because some hair dye wasn't removed and I only tested once. This experiment clearly showed that both bleaches weren't healthy at all, but “Blue Blue” was slightly better.

Abstract:

I wanted to test different hair bleaches to see which ones were the healthiest and which ones were the most damaging ones. Woman and men all around the world today dye their hairs, but of course only the dark colored hair people need to bleach their hair before applying any colored dye. I think most of the people who dye their frequently are the ones who lose hair the most. My third time bleaching my hair I used 4 packages of powdered bleach as recommended. After I applied the bleach and waited 20 minutes, I washed it off and most of my hair fell out. I decided to try out this experiment and test out which hair bleach is the healthiest and which one causes the most damage on 100% real hair extensions, “Snap It”. The hair bleaches I will be using in this experiment are “KaleidoColors Blue Blue” and “kaleidoColors Pink Pink”. It will be necessary to use a volume Developer, for this experiment I used the 20 volume developer. My hypothesis is that “Blue Blue” will do the most damage.

The first phase of my testing consisted of putting the first powdered bleach “KaleidoColors Blue Blue”, in a bowl but make sure you wear a face mask and gloves, the smell can be too overpowering. The next step I carefully poured the right amount of the 20 volume developer into the powdered bleach and mixed it slowly and carefully. I used my gloves and put the mixture on a piece of tinfoil then laid the hair extension on top and started to put more bleach on the strip of hair. I wrapped it for 30 minutes. For the second phase of testing I used the “KaleidoColors Pink Pink” bleach in a different bowl and mixed it with the 20 volume developer and set it for 30 minutes wrapped in the tinfoil.

After I rinsed the bleach off, I noticed there was no red dye from the hair extensions coming off, but instead the bleach make the hair fall out. The hair that remained in the extension was all damaged and fried. On a scale of one to five with five being perfect and one being terrible, I rated the first strip of hair with the “KaleidoColor Blue Blue” a 4.1 because the hair bleach did not remove the hair dye and it did damaged the hair. The second strip of hair with the “KaleidoColor Pink Pink” was rated a 4.2 because it did made the hair dye come off but also damaged the hair a lot and made it fall out.
