Which Stain Remover Works Best On Stains?

While doing this project I realized that red spaghetti sauce was the hardest to remove, and coffee was the easiest to remove. I tested OxiClean, Clorox₂, and Tide To Go fairly and Clorox seemed to come out with the best testing results. Although OxiClean, Tide To Go, and Clorox₂ all had very close numbers Clorox₂ pulled ahead in the long run. The numbers came out close but you could still pick a clear winner.

In this project I learned that if i ever had a tough stain to use Clorox₂ because it got toughest stains out. With the exception of coffee I could use any of them as the removers. No, my hypothesis was incorrect I hypothesized that OxiClean would get the stains out the best, but it turned out in second place. To make my project better I could’ve possibly measured how far the stains spread because that might affect how strong the remover works. For example, when we poured the coffee it spread all over the shirts fast, but when we poured the wine it spread a few inches and stopped, if the remover spread out it might not work as well as it might’ve if all the remover was in one place. Over all Clorox₂ worked the best for removing these tough stains!

Which Stain Removal Removes Stain the Best?

Which stain removal works best on removing stains? I chose this because I often accidentally stain things, so I was interested to know which could help me the best. My hypothesis is that Oxiclean will work the best because it seems to be the strongest.

To begin my project I started by cutting out several strips of shirts then laying them out. The next step was getting the Oxiclean, Tide To Go, or Clorox₂ into even measuring cups. Then, I applied the removal and gently rubbed it in for 2 minutes each one. Afterwards I threw the clothing into the wash separately to see how well it affected the stains. I washed them with Purex laundry detergent, on warm wash for 30 minutes. Quickly following I put the shirts next to each other and rated them 1-5, 5 being best.
