September 2017 Meeting Minutes

Attending: Members: J. Bolland, C. Ockert, D. Rudawitz, L. Rudawitz

D Ave. project - Rob and Katy said the decision has been made to go with the

option to meander D Street to best accommodate the project. They fielded

questions from board members about that option. Did it protect more trees? How

did it do that? How many trees? How did this option impact costs? How did this

option impact traffic flow on to other streets. They did not have data to answer

these questions. Did not think traffic impact studies on other streets had been

done. Perhaps the consultants have data to answer these questions. They will be

having a meeting on the D Ave. Project in October.

Various updates:

Tree: cooperation between developer and appellant on mitigation plan for lot off

C/Bayberry

2nd St. Historic Home remodel: tentative approval by staff with stated conditions

Forest Hills traffic: meeting was canceled and will be reset.

Downtown Design District: City Council passed ordinance to give more design

flexibility - per our request staff wrote in language to exempt R2.

Lake Oswego Review is looking at doing a series of articles focusing on

neighborhoods across the city.

The first work session for the new Annual Code Update is next Monday, Sept.

11th at Planning Commission. There are items that directly affect FANFH. We will

go through this at a future Coord. Committee meeting.

Bylaws Update Language

ARTICLE III. MEMBERSHIP AND BOUNDARIES

Section 1. Voting membership shall be open to all persons who are eighteen

(18) years of age or older and who reside, own property or own fifty percent or

more of a business located within the boundaries of the Association.

ARTICLE V. COORDINATING COMMITTEE

Section 1. The Coordinating Committee shall consist of the Chair, the immediate

Past Chair for a period of one year following their tenure as chair, the Vice Chair,

Treasurer and Secretary, and members of the Association elected by the

voting membership such that there is a minimum of ten members total on

the Coordinating Committee.
