FAN^Forest Hills Neighborhood Association Coordinating Committee Meeting

February 5, 2014, 6:30pm. LO Adult Community Center

Agenda Minutes

A. Treasurer report (D. O’Neill): $454.61 total

B. FAN Corner Lot/front porch language (R-6 FAN only) (C. Ockert):

· Language from Tom Coffee to City Planning department:

· Proposal to send this language to City staff and ask for their interpretation and return that to the committee for approval (so moved and approved by committee)

C. Transportation Systems Plan report (C. Ockert):

· Proposal for pathways and bike routes around city. Re-classifications for some streets.

· Neighborhood associations not contacted in this process. Carole will follow up with E. Rooney.

D. City/neighborhood association process (example Sunningdale water tower tree grove) (C. Ockert):

· Heritage tree designation meeting from the Natural Resources Advisory Board is occurring at the time of the meeting tonight, this happens once per year · NRAB had advised us that we should submit the application which was done last November · Street tree on 3rd (Ginko) is being submitted as a Heritage Tree selected by city staff person with 11th hour notification to the neighborhood · Tree grove at Sunningdale was not allowed to go to NRAB for consideration by City Manager due to lack of neighborhood process · Proposed to board to meet with City Councilors and City manager and also follow up with the LO Review regarding the procedure and process issues we have with this application and neighborhoods

E. FAN^FH annual meeting:

· Need a committee to put on the annual meeting - Maria contact person Miscellaneous City updates:

F. C. Ockert: Draft Neighborhood Plan guide was issued by City.

G. C. Ockert: Contacted Paul Graham of Chamber of Commerce to form a

committee to look at ideas for North Anchor project and form a better process for an RFP so that it includes local neighbors and businesses in this development · J. Bolland: "Eliminate barriers to mixed use development in commercial zones" agenda by staff includes standardizing all commercial zone codes
