Meeting Agenda Notes:

1. Treasury Report/LONAC renewal (O’Neill) current balance is $329.11. Expenses last month: $50 to Oregon Corp fee, $10 to IRS to register as non-profit. $20 renewal for LONAC approved.

2. “Neighborhood traffic only” sign support for Waluga NA (C. Ockert): Expectation from our board that City would have talked to NA’s regarding changes. We support Waluga NA in their request to re-post the signs.

3. Annual Meeting Details

Date: Thursday, May 14th

Officers Slate: Requesting candidates

Program: Go through the Survey results at meeting, announce new Stafford Grove park, other updates

4. Pre-App/ neighborhood meeting for 6 condos on 1st street (C. Ockert): builder meeting for neighborhood regarding 6 new condos on property between C and D on 1st Street. 2.5 stories with parking on ground floor. This will be handled through the new “clear and objective” housing process. Very well attended by neighborhood.

5. Multi-Dwelling code (C. Ockert): Planning commission discussing new codes for multi-dwelling developments for R0 zone brought forward by staff. Staff want the code to allow a new multiple housing option on a lot and reduce open space and landscaping requirements. Board consensus: Keep the 40% open space requirement, don’t count balconies as open space. This subject is not on the 2015 Planning Commission goals and should be tabled.

6. Substandard lots code (C. Ockert): Planning Commission dealing with how to deal with platted sub-standard lots. Idea by Commissioner Ward put forth idea to keep housing parameters be kept in scale with the substandard lot dimensions. One board member, who owns a substandard lot, along with the rest of the Board supported this concept. Clear and objective.

7. Code revisit comments (C. Ockert): Memo from City went out to solicit NA input on code revisions.

8. Comp plan code audit (C. Ockert): Information regarding the alignment of the new comp plan goals to the existing development code. Planning dept staff is running this project. LONAC is forming a committee to look at this and Carole will bring back information to the next meeting.

9. Reports:

a. J. Bolland: LUBA hearing on Wizers was held at UO Law School last month. Anticipate decision by April 9th.

b. C. Clee: Forest Hills School garden fence to be completed by volunteers

c. S. Gustafson: Tree code workshop by Councilor O’Neill next month, details to be announced.

d. C. Ockert working with City Manager on a “Better know your department” program for NA board members to get to know the different City departments. More info as this develops
