April 26^th Minutes

Attending: Carole Ockert, Dave Rudawitz, Jim Bolland, Kathleen Weins , Linda Rudawitz, Sharon Gustafson

Meeting started 6:35

The details for the NEP grant application were discussed so that we can prepare and submit a grant request to the City. It was proposed to ask for $300 for funding for the annual meeting, $200 for the 2^nd Annual Holiday Lighting contest and $3,500 for a basalt bench and landscaping for Stafford Grove. David Rudawitz moved to support this proposal, seconded by Kathleen Weins. Unanimous approval. Carole and Kathleen will work to submit the grant proposal.

An update on the Johnson Barn situation

The Tree Subcommittee updated the board on the meeting that they held at the ACC for others in the City who wanted to learn about the FANFH tree subcommittee process. It was well attended, approx. 22 people attending. They may repeat this larger group meeting quarterly. They encouraged Backyard Habitat signup.

Introductory discussion on annual meeting – start thinking of concept

What about Candidate’s Night this year? Would ACC be available?

Offer via Pete Sweet to hold next meeting at the Windward and he would host with a tour. Board was in favor of May meeting at Windward.
