Tuesday, March 19th neighborhood chairs were invited to speak with the City Manager recruiter. The following are questions/concerns collected from the FAN^fForest Hills co-ordinating committee members that were asked. FAN^FH chair Carole Ockert attended the meeting along with five other neighborhood chairs. The discussion was very positive and many useful comments were made. Interest was expressed in the neighborhood association chairs having a role in the final City Manager selection process.

FAN^Forest Hills comments/questions:

Name three accomplishments in your career and tell me what the challenge was and in a very detailed manner how you solved them.

Given that government at Federal and State levels is over burdened with unsustainable debt levels, how should Lake Oswego take this into account and operate?

How would you reduce the City expenses?

How will the West End Building play a part in your plans for our city?

How would you improve Customer Service at City Hall and follow through?

Give examples of where you took community feedback and changed policy.

How would you build an evaluation system for you staff?

How would you plan to acquire feedback from a broad group of people?

Define “Neighborhood Character”

Who would you set your priorities?

How do you see the role of neighborhood associations in city decision making?
