Fan-Forest Hills Annual Meeting
September 26, 2019
Adult Community Center
36 people in attendance
Chair Carole Ockert opened the business meeting at 6:15 pm
Carole stated that the Fan-FH board has a long-standing position to advocate for active citizen involvement.
She covered the issues and topics that FAN-FH Neighborhood Association has been addressing since the last meeting in September 2018 including:
· Hosting the “Speed Date the Candidates” night featuring candidates for City Council in October 2018
· Work with City Engineering on the 10th Street Water Tower Project
· Hosting the Festive Fronts holiday decorating contest
· Addressing traffic issues at the Six Corners intersection on Country Club Road to A Street
· Encouraging citizen participation in the hiring of the new City Manager
· Staying informed on the new City Hall project
· Staying informed on the North Anchor project
· Attending pre-application hearings for various neighborhood building projects and lot splits
· Staying informed on the HB 2001 bill that will essentially eliminate single family zoning for most of Oregon
· Staying informed on the new proposed Demolition Fee to builders
· Providing input to staff on the annual code updates for R6 and the rest of Fan-FH
· Providing input to staff and the Planning Commission on revisions to the Citizen Involvement Committee
· Work by the Tree sub Committee and notice of upcoming Tree Summit (report given by Kathleen Wiens)
Carole presented the slate of officers for the board for 2019-20

Carole appealed for donations
The business meeting was adjourned at 6:30pm
David Rudawitz hosted presentations on Emergency Preparedness. Speakers included:
· Steve Eberlein, Tipping Point Resilience
· Clayton Simon, LO Police
· David Rudawitz and Jeff Wiens, FAN-FH sub Committee on Emergency Preparedness
Ben Sanders of the LO Fire Department was summoned for duty and not able to present.
