Overarching Topic: What's in play for 2014?

Items:

1. Comprehensive Plan update: City has approved a version with changes. Comp plan CAC and Planning Commission have both weighed in on the changes. Plan goes back to the City Council Feb 18th for final approval. Update will be on the coordinating meeting agenda for February.

2. FAN Corner Lots: Side yard patio is being designated as the required front porch. CO met with City staff to discuss this and requested this practice be corrected. Language is being developed to clarify the code so that the front porch is at the front door.

3. Comm. for Citizen Involvement action plan for neighborhood assoc. involvement: This Saturday’s neighborhood chairs meeting will be introduced to an outreach plan to get more participation and diversity in the neighborhood association. The CCI is the City planning department. Update by CO after the meeting.

4. LO-Tigard Water Project in FAN Update: City taking alternative route across 9th and down B to State St. possibly late spring or early summer this year.

5. WEB Update: Developer has received an extension for posting earnest money until mid-February.

6. Wizers Update: Public hearing 6pm, Jan 22nd with Development Review Commission at City Hall

7. Property at A & 6th Update: CO met with the property owners who are working with a developer. Property owners want to work with neighborhood and asked if we would support rezoning their residential lot to commercial. Neighborhood stand is for developer to design a solution that meets code without re-zoning.

8. Finish up discussion on neighborhood representation in early stages of large-scale development projects: An idea to focus on improving the process for early citizen input prior to decisions being made and as the project is going along. Have a designated person on council to talk to. This would apply to public projects especially. CO will continue to lobby for a better process with councilors at the neighborhood chairs meeting.

9. No new business
