Januar 2015 Coordinating Committee meeting agenda

Post date: Jan 05, 2015 7:5:22 PM

Wednesday, January 7th at the LOACC 6:30pm

Lots to discuss.

I would like the meeting to start with noting the successes of 2014. We have been active participants in city process during the last year and our monthly coordinating committee meetings have been an integral part of the successes we have in advocating for our neighborhood. We can discuss what is on the horizon for 2015 and how we manage that. There are ground level interventions and overarching issues, and I want to hear your thoughts.

We have updates on recent activity to cover. Trees - great leadership and participation - thank you Sharon and tree committee and neighbors. Maybe a once a year "Lorax" award we confer on a tree in the neighborhood that was saved - getting some Review publicity and focusing attention on the 'hopefulness' of the ongoing effort.

There is more North End Anchor to report on.

The Chamber Parking Task Force reinvention needs to be clarified and our board perspective discussed and determined.

New plans for the Vet Clinic remodel on 3rd that are looking good.

We have four upcoming public hearings in front of City Council in January and February. AND THEY MATTER. Front Porches, Clear and Objective Standards (that has just taken an unfortunate about face noted during the Council study session), multiple duplexes and multiple duplex fee reductions.

And a new neighborhood issue just surfaced in the Planning Dept - reorienting lots in R6 such that they would not access an alley - we need to submit a board position, so we need to discuss and vote.

So this is my lead in for our January meeting.

It will be great to see you all.

Carole

And we have a new one that has just surfaced at the planning dept. -
