Meeting called to order at 6:30pm by the Chair, Carole Ockert at the Lake Oswego Public Library conference room.

New Business

· City Manger selection process. LONAC exec committee recommendations made to Council at 2/5 meeting:

o 3 interview groups of seven members each:

§ Mayor/Council

§ City Staff dept heads (including Library, ACC)

§ Community organizations (LONAC, Chamber, Rotary, Neighborhood chairs, Budget Committee member)

§ Short list of questions to candidates with feedback with time for everyone to read

o Meet and greet with the candidates

o If at the end of the interview process, one of the groups feels there is not an appropriate candidate, then a request is made to see more candidates

· JT Smith appeal for ADU designation of their 4th Street townhome garage studios was turned down by Council.

· State Rep Andrea Salinas; Discussion of the House Speaker’s bill HB2001 Housing Opportunities for all Oregonians

Status of this bill: Just introduced, not been heard yet by the Human Services and Housing Committee. Scheduled for hearing Feb. 11th at 1:00 PM.

· Neighborhood Grant Proposals. City looking for a Neighborhood Assoc. member to serve on committee to review grant proposals.

· Bonds for Schools, Parks, etc. May ballot.

o School Board member Liz Hartman will be at the March coordinating meeting.

o Parks bond discussed at Council 2/5. Council is considering a constant rate regardless of assessment. Tabled for further info at next Council meeting.

Subcommittee Reports

· Tree Subcommittee – Sharon Gustafson

· PrepLO – Daivd Rudawitz- No report

· Treasurer Report – Dennis O’Neill- No report

Updates

· 1290 Andrews. City may allow septic to be rebuilt because sewer line connection is not feasible. This will allow rehab of the existing house and no lot split.

· Blue Palouse Bayberry development. Large fir tree is in middle of lot to be developed. Developer has tried to work around but appears that it will have to be removed.

· Short Term Rentals; Planning commission will be holding a work study session on STR’s but mandate is unclear. Feb 19th Joint session of Planning and Council.
