Meeting called to order at 6:30pm by the Chair, Carole Ockert at the Lake Oswego Public Library Baars Meeting Room.

Presentations

· None

Subcommittee Reports

· Tree Subcommittee – Carole Ockert for Sharon Gustafson;

o Kathleen and Sharon kicked in $200 for appeal for tree on 9th and D Street, July 15th at DRC. Contesting developer claim of root damage to foundation.

o With Tree Committee recommendation Carole filed tree appeal for 3 Firs on Sunningdale at Mantel property; Aug 5th at DRC. Contesting developer claim that trees lie within the new building footprint. CO paid. No NA fee waiver. Board moved to support the action (DR moved and LR seconded) approved unanimously.

o 639 9th Street Cedar too close to house, application pending

o 553 6th Street Saved the walnut tree, application pulled

o Pine Street 2 large Firs trees, application denied

o 5745 Washington Ct, taking out 15 Firs, application in progress

o Carole will bring up the status for Neighborhood Assoc’s. tree appeal fee waiver at July Mayor-Chairs meeting

· Treasurers Report- Dennis O’Neill;

o $114.11 in the account

· PrepLO – David Rudawitz; Kick off meeting for FAN-FH sub-committee October 17th at the ACC.

Updates

· Tree Summit. Kathleen Wiens; October 5th at LO Methodist Church. Motion to for Fan-FH NA to be listed as a partner in the summit by KW. Seconded by DR. Unanimously approved

· NEP grants. Carole Ockert; Approved for the Annual Meeting expenses ($300) and Emergency Pre ($1700). Grant for bench at Stafford Grove denied. $8000 for carving of the Elm tree into a bench on 1st Street.

· FAN-FH Annual Meeting. Dave Rudawitz; Sept 26th 6-8pm at the ACC. Theme is emergency preparedness. 3 speakers.

· North Anchor project. Carole Ockert; City agreed on sales price of $4M to Sturgeon Development for new hotel and parking structure.

· Mayors and Chairs Meeting. Carole Ockert; July 20 citizen involvement guideline changes to be discussed.

· Annual code updates. Carole Ockert; July 8 staff will present annual code updates to Planning Commission

· Six Corners update. Carole Ockert; City to re-store stop signage on Country Club and 10 Street per original plan.

· HB 2001. Carole Ockert; Bill passed both houses and is expected to be signed. Impacts apparently include elimination of single family zoning, regardless of lot size, for most Oregon cities based on population. Duplex, triplex, quadraplexes, “cottage home clusters” can now be built in former single family zones. No parking considerations are allowed. For ADU’s no parking or owner-occupancy requirements. Cites are allowed time to accommodate for planning and can apply for an extension after deadline.

· New City Manager. Jim Bolland; Martha Bennet former CEO of Metro is the new City Manager. Starts in August. Carole will invite to meet our committee at an upcoming meeting.
