FANFH Coordinating Committee Meeting

June 21st, 2018

Minutes

Attending: Carole Ockert, David Rudawitz, Linda Rudawitz, Sharon Gustafson, Kathleen Wiens, Dennis O’Neil, Jim Bolland, Suzanne Meckel, Miles Haliday

Guest: Jim Gustafson

Meeting started 6:35 with introductions around the table

Annual meeting discussion: date set for Sept. 11 at the ACC. We have the room from 6:00 to 8:30. Format change following last year’s meeting. Begin with business meeting and have time for discussion from the floor. Carole suggested a neighborhood resource night as the theme this year. Bring in people for a panel who represent important aspects of the community and could inform and are good resources. Consensus from the board to proceed with this idea.

Dennis explained we are financially in need. We will need cash to cover our operating costs with the State of Oregon filing requirements. We only have $70 and we need a minimum of $90 to cover the basic fees. Open to contributions and will seriously raise the concern at annual meeting.

Report that Carole and Jim attended a pre app for Kaady Car Wash. They want to add an additional entrance, more parking spaces and build a small break room and housing for car vacs. Should quiet the system. Said they would come and talk to board at another meeting.

Also pre-apps for 748 1st – developer thinking single family residence and pre-app for lot split at 675 Iron Moutain

Tree report by Sharon

Secondary Dwelling Units per Council decision are now called Accessory Dwelling Units. Council decided that there should still be an owner occupancy component.

Carole updated on the discussion of the review of the Citizen Involvement Guidelines

City Council is looking at a new idea for the sewer plant that would mean smaller footprint to allow for development of property. Early in the concept – stay aware

Council also looking at the sale of property – Tryon Cove annex

Discussion of sewer connections from alley to residence in FAN by Jim Gustafson. Who pays when there is an issue? City says resident/owner even in alley on city property…why? Suggestion offered that there might be photos of the sewer lines to determine preexisting issue.

Meeting adjourned 8:30
