Sorrel drink
Ingredients
2 lb Fresh sorrel
1 lb ginger
10 quarts boiling water
3.5 to 4 lb sugar
Instructions
- Wash sorrel pods, place in a metal container or pot
- Boil water, pour over sorrel
- Grate ginger into mixture and stir
- Cover and leave to steep overnight
- Strain and discard the pods
- Add enough sugar till you have reached your desired sweetness
- Bottle and refrigerate
