Croque-Madame

Ingredients

Cheesy thyme béchamel

2 tablespoon butter

3 tablespoon flour

1 ¼ cup milk

1 tablespoon Thyme

¼ teaspoon Black pepper

1 teaspoon Salt

¼ cup Parmesan cheese

2 Garlic cloves shredded

Sandwich

¼ cup Smoked gouda shredded

4 Ham slices

1 tablespoon Mustard

6 dinner rolls (attached)

1 tablespoon Butter melted

1 tablespoon oil

1 whole Egg

pinch of salt and black pepper

Greedy tips:

    • I like to get an initial toast on my bread before adding the ham and cheese
    • If your bechamel sauce is getting too thick add a little more milk to thin it out.
    • You will have a fair amount of bechamel sauce left over. freeze it in a zip lock bag for up to 2 months or store it in the refrigerator if you will use it within the week.
    • You are more than welcome to fry the egg to your liking
