Directions

Turn onto the Sol Duc Hot Springs Road just west of Lake Crescent (Olympic Peninsula) from US-101 and follow it for ~13.8 miles to the trailhead parking lot. Follow the trail to the south-southeast for ~0.8 miles to the footbridge immediately below the waterfall. Another view of this waterfall is accessed by crossing the footbridge and turning left to reach the brink. A third viewpoint is further downstream from the footbridge, however this involves scrambling off-trail (off the northern side of the river) to the edge of the ravine (travel at your own risk). Don't forget to continue down the trail past Sol Duc to Lover's Lane Falls (~1/4 mile) which I was unaware of at the time.
