First Lake Falls

First Lake Falls is the fourth waterfall seen on the Big Pine Lakes hike in the John Muir Wilderness. The World Waterfall Database (link) refers to this as "Third Falls" but I gave that name to another waterfall we came across along the North Fork Big Pine Creek Trail. Take the alternate trail (see hike description) to get the best views of this waterfall as the view from the North Fork Big Pine Creek Trail is obscured by trees.
