Description

This waterfall can be found just off of the Sonora Pass Highway, a little ways east of Sonora Pass. A nice viewpoint has been set up here, because otherwise you would need to hang off the side of the cliffs to get a decent view of the entire length. It consists of three major drops, with the last two coming consecutively at the end and the first occurring at the top of the waterfall. The first drop is separated from the other two by pools and small cascades. The views from the viewing platform are not relegated to the waterfall, however, as the beautiful West Walker Valley is visible to the southeast. There are several picnic tables here with a bathroom as well.

Directions

From the CA-108/US-395 intersection northwest of Bridgeport, follow CA-108 west for ~8.7 miles and turn into the Leavitt Falls viewpoint parking area. There isn't a sign for this parking area on CA-108, but you'll see one as soon as you pull onto the dirt road. The wooden viewing platform is near the middle of the loop, off the southeastern end.
