Location

Located on the Plumas/Sierra County line south of Graeagle, this is popular waterfall to visit in the summer. A short, flat, and paved trail leads to a viewing platform in a little over 1/2 mile with bathrooms provided at the trailhead. This 178' waterfall does tend to run dry later in the summer, so be sure to visit it in the spring to be impressed.

Directions

To get to the trailhead from the south take CA-49 to Bassetts and turn left onto the Gold Lake Highway and follow it for ~6.9 miles. Turn right onto Graeagle Road/Frazier Creek Road, opposite of Gold Lake and follow it for ~1.6 miles to the trailhead parking area. From the north, drive through the community of Graeagle on CA-89 and turn right onto the Gold Lake Highway (~1.4 miles southeast of downtown Graeagle). Follow the Gold Lake Highway for ~1.7 miles before turning sharply left onto Frazier Creek Road. Follow this road as it winds its way uphill to the trailhead in ~4.0 miles. From the trailhead follow the easy trail to the southeast, cross over Frazier Creek (footbridge) after ~0.3 miles and reach the viewing platform after ~0.55 miles from the trailhead. It is possible to get closer side-views of this waterfall (requires leaving the trail and negotiating steep cliff-sides), but the best views are from the platform.
