Directions

To get to these waterfalls take the Ice House Rd (~21.5 miles east of Placerville) from US-50 ~10.5 miles. Turn right onto Big Hill Lookout Road and follow it for ~1.2 miles where the road is just west of the Ice House Reservoir. Turn left here and follow the road (4x4 recommended for last section of road, may need to hike in last part of road because of flooding) off the northern end of the reservoir for ~3.5 miles to the end of the road at the trailhead (eastern end of the reservoir). From the parking area follow the South Fork Silver Creek NE along its northern shore (there are a few steep light trails to follow but not always right next to the creek) for ~0.4 miles to reach the Upper Falls (the Teacups are just upstream from here). The Middle Falls are ~0.1 miles downstream from the Upper Falls and the Lower Falls are ~400 ft downstream of the Middle Falls.
