Location

This is a worthwhile waterfall in the North Fork Feather River Canyon that requires some rough road driving to reach. Even seeing this waterfall at lower flows in February, I was greatly impressed by it. From the top of the upper tier to the bottom, this waterfall is probably a little over 200' high (based on USGS topo map). There may even be more tiers to the waterfall further up. If you plan on visiting this waterfall be sure to have a high clearance vehicle and decent tires.

Directions

Turn onto the Pulga Road off of CA-70 just west of the Pulga bridge over the North Fork American River. Follow the road for ~0.9 miles then stay left and continue on Camp Creek Road for ~2.9 miles to the bridge over Camp Creek. Immediately above the bridge is one section of this waterfall with the major section (two major drops) coming immediately below the bridge. You can see the main section of this waterfall from the road as you approach the bridge, but to get a better view I scrambled down from the road (highly discouraged). There is also an Upper Falls consisting of at least two more drops (according to aerial views). When I was here I did not make the effort to find a way to the Upper Falls. The base this waterfall may be accessed via the powerhouse road (gated, but perhaps walking, biking, or dirt biking is possible). On the way back to CA-70 I noticed another waterfall on Dogwood Creek (~39.8180 N, 121.4314 W), however I did not make the effort to get a closer look (downstream from the bridge).
