When I "found" this waterfall I was pleasantly surprised with it. It is set back in the trees a little ways away from US-50, beautifully tumbles over rocks and branches and has a nice footbridge that allows for different photo opportunities. I'm guessing that this creek only runs well in the spring and would be either a trickle or dry in the late summer. This is not a waterfall that you should go out of your way to see, but if you do decide to visit it be sure to check out the upper section of this waterfall above the footbridge. To the best of my knowledge no one else online describes this waterfall.

Directions

From Placerville take US-50 east for ~34.1 miles to a large dirt pullout off the northern side of the highway. When I was here some machinery and material were being stored. Walk to the northern end of the parking area and follow the eastern side of the creek uphill until you are just downstream of a small footbridge. There is also a nice cascade just upstream of the footbridge.
