This is a small waterfall on the order of 20' high just below Grass Lake. It appears to be just south of Glen Alpine Creek and may not actually be a part of the creek. This is why I didn't name it "Upper Glen Alpine Falls" because I believe that waterfall exists just northwest of this one. However, I did not confirm that hunch but there is some evidence of one from aerial photographs. Alternatively, this may result from high flow in Glen Alpine Creek spilling over into this section. To the best of my knowledge no one else online describes this waterfall.Location

Directions

Drive to the Glen Alpine trailhead just southwest of Fallen Leaf Lake, near Lake Tahoe by turning onto Fallen Leaf Rd (~3.1 miles NW of CA-89/US-50 intersection), following it for ~4.8 miles before continuing to the left on Glen Alpine Rd for ~0.7 miles to the trailhead parking area. Walk past Modjeska Falls to the Grass Lake Junction ~1.6 miles from the trailhead. Turn left here and cross the creek coming from Gilmore Lake (just below Lower Gilmore Falls) and make your way towards Grass Lake. This waterfall is off the trail to the northwest, ~0.3 miles from the trail junction.
