Directions

To get to this waterfall take the Multnomah Falls exit (#31) from I-84 or follow the Historic Columbia River Highway to the Multnomah Falls Lodge (lots of signs). Follow the Larch Mountain Trail from the Multnomah Falls Lodge over the Benson Bridge and up the cliff for ~1.6 miles (stay left at junction with the side-trail to the brink of Multnomah Falls), ~0.2 miles past Wiesendanger Fall. The viewpoint that my close-up picture was taken from is on a very steep and muddy side-trail (not recommended). An off-shoot of this side-trail (also not recommended) actually goes all the way down to the creek where spray can be a problem (see my more distant picture).
