Great for Picnic and you can add nuts of fruits you like

Oat Flapjacks ( the English Kind)

Ingredients

350g Rolled oats/Jumbo Oats

200g Flora Plant Butter

150ml Maple Syrup/ Golden Syrup can be used

400ml Apple juice ( the cloudy sort is great for this)

Flavours -Vegan Chocolate chips, dried cranberry and apple (I use a flavoured porridge to make these) Nuts, Peanut butter, Raisins

How To Bit

1. Preheat the oven to 170 degrees C/330 degrees F/ Gas mark 5

and line a brownie tin with baking parchment.

2. Put the maple syrup and apple juice in a large saucepan, warm over low heat, stirring, add the oats and bring to a gentle simmer. Cook until it becomes sticky.

3. Remove from the heat and add the flavours you want. I personally love the cranberry and apple ones with a cup of green tea but that is just me.

4. Spoon the mixture into the prepared tin and squash it flat with a spoon.

5. Place in the oven and bake for 40 minutes or until golden.

6. Leave to cool then cut into squares with a sharp knife.

Can be stored for 5 days in an airtight container.
