Bridestowe secured C West cricket for next season with a 4-wicket win over Chagford. With the sun out, Chagford won the toss and batted. Tom Fogerty broke the opening stand as Sampson edged behind. Patterson and Vos saw off the opening bowlers spells and moved the score to 42 before Jutson trapped Patterson lbw. Craig Penberthy supported Vos well before he was caught behind off Tim Shaw for 14. Vos was proving difficult to remove, and although not many runs were coming at the other end, Chagford were approaching a competitive score. Ryan Dennis changed the game with a spell of 9-0-21-4 as he showed great control to remove the middle order. Tom Fogerty (9-2-26-3) returned get the important wicket of Vos, caught well by Pat Ewen at backward point for an excellent 77. After a few lusty blows from Lammonby (23no), Holland was bowled by Dennis to finish off the Chagford innings on 167ao.

The Bridestowe chase started well until Tom Fogerty (9) spooned a catch to cover off Lammonby. Sizmur was regularly finding the boundary, and Bridestowe were easily up with the rate, but the introduction of Vos saw Chagford pick up their second wicket as James Ewen chipped to cover with the score on 67. Jack Hatton started confidently and him and Sizmur were cruising before Hatton ran himself out for 9. Ryan Dennis worked the ball around well and with Sizmur moved the score to 138 before Sizmur holed out for a fluent 76. Tim Shaw (9) kept the score ticking but the required run rate was beginning to climb to around 6 an over due to some accurate bowling. Dennis (23) was then run out and Shaw stumped of Letheren (2-29) with the run rate climbing further. Mark Butler (12no) then took matters into his own hands, smashing the returning Lammonby for a couple of boundaries and Pat Ewen (3no) scrambled through for a single to seal the win with two overs and four wickets remaining.

The 20 points secured by Bridestowe moves them up to 6th in the table and means that they cannot be relegated from C West, regardless of results in the final round of games.
