Een kleine, speelse vorm, bedacht door Richard Wilbur. De naam is echter afkomstig van Lewis Turco. Het is een negenregelig, jambisch vers: achtereenvolgens monometer,dimeter, trimeter, tetrameter en dan pentameter. Daarna gaat het weer terug via tetrameter, trimeter, dimeter naar monometer.

De vorm wordt gewoonlijk gebruikt als een berichtje aan iemand, een groep, nou ja, de hele wereld.
