Re-introduction of stipendary agents scheme
As part of the Diamond Jubilee celebrations, LIC of India has announced Recruitment of Stipendiary Agents, viz. CITY CAREER AGENTS (CCA) & RURAL CAREER AGENTS (RCA) throughout the country including Coimbatore.
Jeevan KOVAI, the official LIC Agent's Recruitment Office invites applications from eligible individuals of Coimbatore, but only, those who can devote his/ her main time and attention as an agent of the Life Insurance Corporation of India for appointment as Trainee City Career Agent.
Monthly stipend increased
We have pleasure in informing you that the competent authority has increased the monthly stipend to trainee CCA's for the city of Coimbatore, (which is falling under category - 1) as follows.
CCA Stipend Amount = Rs. 6000/- per month.
(for other than Category-1 cities that includes Coimbatore)The CCA's stipendary period will be for one year only.Additional stipend for securing professional qualification:
If a CCA clears the CIS exam within 9 months of recruitment, a one time incentive of Rs. 2000/- will be given.
Minimum Monthly performance required for receiving stipend.
A CCA's business performance appraisal shall be done on a monthly basis and he will have to get minimum No of lives (NOL) and First Year Commission (FYC) as shown in the Table to get the stipend for the month. He will not be entitled for the stipend if he does not fulfill the required business criteria for the particular month. (Refer table beside.)
Mandatory Activities for City Career Agents
Attend Training Sessions and Review meetings.
Preparing Prospect list of at least 100 People.
Meeting at least 2 Prospects Daily.
Writing Daily Activity Report and Preparing weekly summary.
Conditions for CCA selection
Age, qualification and Pre-recruitment training and test before issue of license will be applicable as stipulated in the board approved policy and as amended from time to time. In addition to IRDAI mandated Pre-recruitment training and test, internal test and trainings will be conducted.
The City Career Agents will be selected only from areas having population more than 1 Lac. All prospective CCAs will have to be identified and sponsored by Development Officer.
Selection and sponsorship of CCAs shall be provided for only such persons, who have suitable behavioural qualities and aptitude for life insurance selling and servicing.
While we strive to provide the state-of-the-art and specialized theoretical training and practical support & guidance in the field to develop every CCA as a professional and successful agent, CCAs will need to follow the work norms of contacting at least one prospective customer every day.
It is clarified that the appointment of a person under the CCA scheme will not be a salaried appointment as an employee of the Corporation, but would be governed by the Agents Rule, 1972 approved by the Parliament of India.
