B3- The Agent’s Hymn

“Bless this house, Oh Lord,” we pray, “Make it safe by night and day.”

This widely sung hymn is especially popular at Thanksgiving, for it sums up the heartfelt desire of man to know that his family is safe from want.

Another line of the hymn might be used as a motto by any life insurance salesman: “Keeping want and trouble out” is the heart of his job.

Every day can be a day of thanksgiving for the life insurance agent who sees fatherless families comfortable because he did his part.
