Becoming an LIC Agent
LIC offers good opportunities to earn and grow your personality by becomіng аn аgent. Аny person who has completed Class 10th. / SSLC, and are aged 18 years and above are eligible to apply for LIC agency.
For enrolling as an LIC agent he/she has to Apply here online. On appearing for an interview and finding suitable, he/she needs to undergo 25 hour training on life insurance business. On completion of training and qualifying in Pre-licensing exam conducted by IRDAI, Appointment Letter will be issued and he/she can work as an LIC agent. Pre-requisites for Appointment as an Agent
As per the revised guidelines of The Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI), Appointment letter shall be issued by LIC of India to those who desire to become an insurance agent , only after they complete a course of study (IC-38) and pass the prescribed examination. From 01-04-2015, the course of study has been shortened to 25 hours. Recently, IRDAI has regulated the pass percentage to 35% for getting appointed as an insurance agent in India.
IRDA Licensing Pre-Recruitment Interview
One can complete the mandatory 25 hour training either by offline or online method, after having got selected in the pre-recruitment interview. OFFLINE TRAINING METHOD
LIC of India conducts offline or classroom "25 HOUR training Session" on IC-38 syllabus for IRDA Licensing at 'LIC Agency Training Centre' (ATC / ZTC) located throughout India. The course fee is totally free of cost and also the ATC's have ambient conditions and training facilities such as operating mouse for computer illiterates in order to successfully qualify in the IRDAI - LIFE online qualification exam. This 25 hour course will be of 4 day office hours batch.
ONLINE TRAINING METHOD
We understand that many of you can have hurdles in completing the four day long compulsory classroom training. For those candidates, that include college goers, all segments of self-employed personnel, family managers and everyone with the eagerness to earn-- but find it hard to complete the regular classroom training - can opt for online training method to obtain the 25 hours IC - 38 Course Completion Certificate.
