With the arrival of family on August 1st, things became a bit more busy.

August 2nd was the National Trophy Infantry Team Match. Also known as the "Rattle Battle". Teams advance toward th

e targets starting from the 600 yard line. All four stages take 50 seconds. Each team gets 384 rounds of ammo, or 64 rounds per team member (6 riflemen). At five and 600 yards, shooters rapid fire from prone. At 300 yards shooters rapid fire from sitting. At 200 yards you rapid fire from standing. The targets are silhouette and half silhouette, black on white. The team is scored on the number of hits. We didn't win, but we moved up the ranks from last year.August 3rd was my last match. The National John C Garand match.

I reverted to using my own reloads. That proved to be a good decision, as I scored a personal best and took home my third bronze medal of 2019, and my second in National competition to date.

It's always a learning experience!
