We are posting some personal notes from the President of the Alaska Rifle Club so if you are planning shooting any of the Matches in the Anchorage Area will be a good idea to keep in touch with them and even volunteer and give them a hand.
May 4 BPTR, 22LR 200 yd. Silhouette Bang and Clang
Warning! This is your notice to load ammo for a Bang and Clang.
The 4 May 14 match was to be a .22 lr silhouette match. There was not enough competitors for that match. The match will be a bang and clang.
VOLUNTEERS TO HAUL TRAILER
I am looking for volunteers to pull the club target trailer from Birchwood to Pedneau and back on match dates. We need all of the stuff in the trailer to hold our matches. I had to cancel a number of matches last year because no one offered to haul the trailer.

Target/Trailer Work Party
I am looking for Volunteers to help repair targets frames & clean up the sheds/trailer. We need to replace shot out centers on a number of frames so bring tools. The "Party" will start at noon on May 10.
SERVICE RIFLE CHAMPIONSHIP
We have had to reschedule the Alaska Service Rifle Championship/"Leg" Match from May 17-18 to August 9-10. The National Guard took our dates to use the range away from us. :-(
GREELY LONG RANGE MATCHES
I talked to Ft. Greely Range Control today. The June 28-29 match dates look "real iffy" at this time. They do not have any units using the ranges (at this time) on June 28 so they will be closed. The July 19-20 dates "might possibly work" because they have units scheduled that weekend. All this info is subject to change so nothing is set in stone yet. I will check again the first week of June.
