William Grosvenor

William G. Grosvenor spent his early years growing up on Vancouver Island and as a young man moved to Vancouver, BC to take a job as a draftsman. On a 1957 business trip to Seattle he met Roberta, who would become his wife. He became an American citizen and served in the US Army, returning to Seattle after two years overseas to resume his work in structural engineering.

He worked at Kramer Chin & Mayo (later TetraTech KCM) in Seattle. During his engineering career and following his retirement, he participated in the Seattle-area sailboat-racing scene and as a long-time member of the Edmonds Yacht Club. Later he traveled with his family from their home in Edmonds to properties in Birch Bay and in Desert Hot Springs.

He joined SEAW in 1980.
