David Peden

SEAW President 1997, SEAW Spokane President 1996David Peden attended Gonzaga University, receiving an SEAW scholarship in 1985.With Coffman Engineers, Spokane, Dave manages commercial and Institutional building projects requiring structural engineering or multi-discipline engineering, seismic design or seismic upgrades of existing structures, feasibility studies, value engineering and constructability reviews, and plan or peer reviews. His background in structural design includes new facilities and renovations and additions to medical facilities, schools, and other institutional and commercial buildings, including several located in active seismic regions. His designs have utilized a range of primary structural systems, most commonly with steel, concrete, timber, and masonry. He has expertise in seismic design of new structures and seismic upgrade of existing and historical structures. He has worked on projects with jurisdictions in many states, and manages most multi-discipline design efforts for his firm.

In 2011 Dave served on the Board of Directors of Downtown Spokane, as a member of the Washington State Building Code Council (SBCC), and as a founding member on the Board of Directors of Structural Engineers Foundation of Washington.
