David Ohnsager

Life Member 2014David Ohnsager earned a BSCE from the University of Washington and an MSCE from the University of California at Berkeley. He joined SEAW in 1979.His work with Woodinville-based LDC involved structural analysis and design, with projects for military, industrial, commercial, public and private clients in the US and abroad: hospitals, museums, wharves, tunnels, high- and low-rise office buildings, factories, aircraft hangars, light-rail transit faciities, pedestrian bridges, earth retaining structures, blast-resistant structures, single- and multi-family housing, seismic retrofit, forensic inspection of damaged structures, and static and dynamic analysis of new and existing structures, utilizing a variety of materials.Representative projects include structural analysis and design of the west entrance structure to the Sound Transit underground light rail transit station on Seattle Capitol Hill; the Sound Transit station at Seatac Airport (design of the roof structure, elevator and stairwell shafts, and pedestrian bridge across Highway 99); Tower 333 (Expedia) Building, Bellevue; Lundeen Plaza, Enumclaw; Matador Restaurant, Tacoma; and Lake Cushman Dam, Skokomish River for Tacoma Power.
