Dan Yeager

Young Engineer of the Year 2012, President's Award 2011

A 1982 native of Alliance, Nebraska, Daniel Yeager worked as a subcontractor with his family's business, Yeager Construction Company 1998-2003. If he had stayed with the firm, he would have become the 5th generation of his family to operate the business. But he decided he wanted to work behind a desk, and determined to pursue an engineering career. He studied at the University of Wyoming at Laramie, where he earned the BS in Architectural Engineering in 2005.

He began working with Seattle-based DCI Engineers in 2005, as a project manager involved in management, design, and construction administration for mixed-use, residential, office, and medical projects.

His SEAW activities have included service as SEAW YMF Past Chair 2011-12, Chair 2010-2011, Vice Chair 2009-2010, and as SEAW PSEC Representative. He has applied himself effectively to activating younger engineers in the SEAW professional community.
