Philip Botch

Life Member

June 5, 1913 - December 8, 1987

A native of Wibaux, Montana, Philip M. Botch earned a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from Northwestern University in 1938, and a master's degree in mechanics from Washington University, St. Louis in 1942. He worked for leading consulting and professional companies including Sverdup & Parcel and Associates, Boeing Airplane Company, and E. I. Dupont De Nemours and Co. before moving to the Seattle area and forming his own firm in 1947.

Projects of Philip M. Botch and Associates, Inc. included design and construction of the Coupeville Water Desalination Plant, the Lake Tapps Regional Sewerage System, and the City of Bonney Lake Sewerage System.

In addition to his SEAW membership, his professional affiliations included the American Society of Civil Engineers, American Water Works Association, Water Pollution Control Federation, and Land Surveyors Association of Washington. ASCE honored him as a Fellow and Life Member.
