STC NY Metro is a thriving community of professionals dedicated to the advancement of the fields of technical communication, content strategy, instructional design, data visualization, information architecture, knowledge management, localization, technical editing, user research, usability, and web design. Meet NY Metro is a new way to engage, connect, support, and showcase who we are and what we do.

• Our New Mindset - In a technology-driven economy, the discipline of technical communication (tech comm) is essential. Tech comm involves the delivery of clear, consistent, and factual information — often stemming from complex concepts — for safe and efficient use and effective comprehension by users. From finding information and navigating on your smartphone to training and instructional materials that help you be productive in your job, tech comm is pervasive.

• We Take the Lead - This year, we congratulate and proudly support STC NY Metro member, Aiessa Moyna as the incoming President of STC International. As one of the founding members of the STC Alliance Competition, STC NY Metro is proud to lead, provide logistics, and processes that uphold STC technical communication standards for awards. Through the competition, STC NY Metro generates opportunities for members to connect, learn, and collaborate with multi-chapter teams towards showcasing award-winning solutions and celebrating the accomplished professionals, their respective companies, and communities.

• Our Passion and Purpose - Spanning a technology ecosystem with a very large footprint, the STC NY Metro tech comm community taps into the power of connecting with passion and purpose. If you are passionate about communication, we invite you to join the conversation.
