06 KVH Industries, Mike Nelson

Mike Nelson is Product Documentation and Training Manager for KVH Industries, Inc. (www.kvh.com). Since joining the company in 2000, Mike has developed numerous user and technical manuals, help systems, video tutorials, e-learning courses, and configuration wizards. He also recently launched and administers the company’s learning management system.

Mike holds a bachelor’s degree in English Writing and Communication from UMass Dartmouth and is a veteran of the U.S. Navy submarine service. A senior member of the STC New England chapter, Mike has been participating in the competition since 2002, often serving as a judge and committee member. As an entrant, he has won over 30 regional and international awards, including three regional Best in Shows.
