2017/18 Internal Competitions

The Knockout is now complete, with Chaski beating Michael in the final.  The other competitions were very close with winners announced at the AGM.

Michael Stockham attempted a clean sweep of the other trophies, winning the Blitz, the Rapidplay, Best Junior and Handicap.  Have I forgotten anything?  Probably.

Chaski Patrick won the knockout and Brian Stockham won the points title.

We are now at quarter final stage in the Knockout, Brian is handling the draw.  There have been so many match nights this season that progress in the other competitions has been slow.

The draw for the Knockout competition has taken place, and the Handicap Split will also be starting in the New Year.  

There is a preliminary round in the Knockout where;

Philip Fletcher will play Daniel Longley, the winner moving on to the first round to play Arran Airlie;  

Chaski Patrick is to play Dave Jeffrey, the winner moving on to play Mark Attree;  

the rest of the first round is:- 

Ken Swanton v Michael Stockham;  

Brian Gallington v Nathan Ridley; 

Steve Perris v Simon McDonald;  

Bobbie Ridley v Brian Stockham;  

Benedict Weis v Artur Mieczkoski;  

Tom Stanistreet v Ali Ullah.  

The preliminary rounds should be played before the end of January and the first round before the end of February.  Please do not forget that if the match is not played on time, the highest attender at club sessions will move on to the next round.  Rules are on the competition sheet which will be on display at each session.
