Honeycrisp

This apple was introduced by the University of Minnesota in 1991. It is a cross between Macoun and Honeygold. This is a large conic shaped apple, colored with a mottled red on a straw yellow background. Texture is very crisp, yet not hard, with a mild, sweet, aromatic, cream-colored flesh. It has excellent eating and keeping qualities, and ripens about one week after McIntosh.

Uses: Fresh eating, juice/cider
