THEODOR VAN THULDEN (TULDEN)

War 1622 Schüler d. Abraham Bleyenberch und später des Peter Paul Rubens
1626 war er Meister in Antwerpen,
1632 lebte er in Paris arbeitete für die Trinitarier und ätzte die Schicksale des Ulysses
nach den Gemälden von Primaticcio & Nicolo del Abate in Fontainebleau und widmete das Werk dem Herzog von Liancourt.
Wurde 1626 Freimeister der Lukasgilde
1638 war er Dekan der Lukasgilde
1647 ging er abermals nach Paris und arbeitet wieder für die Trinitarier.
1661-1663 scheint er wieder in Antwerpen gewesen zu sein.
Er war Mitarbeiter des Rubens an dern Gemälden der Medici-Folge.
Seine Bilder figurieren in der Regel als Werke des Rubens.

Theodor van Thulden radierte die Folge nach den im Jahre 1737 zerstörten Fresken von Niccolo dell'Abbate
im Schloß Fontainebleau, die dieser nach Gemälden Francesco Primaticcios gestaltet hatte und ließ sie als Stichwerk
mit einer Widmung für den Herzog von Liancourt erscheinen.
