Guckkastenblatt mit einer Ansicht aus dem Schloßgarten von Fontainebleau. Blick aus der Kavaliers-Perspektive vom großen Kanal aus auf die Kaskade und das dahinter liegende Parterre. In der rechten oberen Ecke sieht man einen Teil des königlichen Schlosses. Im Garten und auf mehreren Booten auf dem Kanal im Vordergrund befinden sich zahlreiche Staffagefiguren in der höfischen Mode des Barock. Am unteren Rand ist der französische Titel mit der Ortsangabe. Unten rechts ist die Adresse des Pariser Verlegers Nicolas de Poilly (1627-1696) mit dem französischen Druckprivileg und die unvollständig aus der Platte geschliffene Verlegeradresse von Pierre Aveline der Ältere (um 1656-1722), der auch die Platte stach. IFF 15-109. Am linken, rechten und oberen Rand ist diese Darstellung in eine zweite Platte eingesetzt, die aus einer anderen Gartendarstellung der selben Zeit stammt. Links und rechts sieht man flankierende Heckenwände und Staffagefiguren in der Mode des Louis XIV. Es handelt sich bei dem angebotenen Blatt um ein in Paris publiziertes Guckkastenblatt aus der Mitte des 18. Jahrhunderts, das aus zwei Radierungen der Zeit um 1680 neu kombiniert wurde.

In the upper right corner you can see part of the royal palace. In the garden and on several boats on the canal in the foreground there are numerous staffage figures in courtly baroque fashion. At the bottom is the French title with the location. Lower right is the address of the Parisian publisher Nicolas de Poilly (1627-1696) with the French printing privilege and the publisher's address, incompletely cut from the plate, of Pierre Aveline the Elder (around 1656-1722), who also engraved the plate. IFF 15-109. On the left, right and upper edge this representation is inserted into a second plate, which comes from another garden representation of the same time. Left and right you can see flanking hedge walls and staffage figures in the fashion of Louis XIV. The sheet offered is a proscenium sheet published in Paris from the mid-18th century, which was recombined from two etchings from around 1680.

Auf Bütten. Mit umlaufendem Plattenrand. Unregelmäßig fleckig. Etwas gebräunt. In der linken unteren Ecke ist außerhalb der Platte ein kleiner Einriß. Das Altkolorit ist etwas ausgeblichen.

On laid paper. With a circumferential plate edge. Irregularly stained. Somewhat browned. In the lower left corner there is a small tear outside the plate. The old coloring is somewhat faded.
