Volunteers

Volunteers are vital to the Guild both on meeting days and between meetings.

Volunteering is a great way to get to know more about the Guild as well as get to know other members.

If you have ideas about what the Guild should be doing, don't wait for someone else to do something about it, volunteer some of your time to get the job done.

Here are some jobs volunteers can help with:

  • Showing new members around the Guild. Do you attend meetings regularly? If so, you could show new members and visitors around our facilities. This would be a big help for the membership secretary on meeting days.

  • Serve food (morning tea/lunch). Could you help in the kitchen or library on a meeting day? The kitchen has a monthly cake roster. If you enjpoy baking this may be your choice, but you don't have to be a great cook - store-bought is just fine.

  • In the Guild library. The Guild library needs regular helpers, However, if you have a little time occasionally, half an hour re-shelving books is great.

  • Help staff the Little Glory Gallery. Do you have time to help out in the Little Glory Gallery? More members are needed to join the Gallery roster for the Gallery. (The Gallery is managed by the Gallery sub-committee. Members are also invited to join this group which meets once a month, on the 4th Tuesday from 1pm. )

If you'd like to volunteer some of your time to help the Guild,
speak to a Committee member at a Guild meeting or send an email to spinweavesa@gmail.com.
