Little Glory Gallery
The Little Glory Gallery showcases the many talents of Guild members. It is open Wednesdays and Saturdays, 11am-3pm.
The Little Glory Gallery is closed:
if the temperature is forecast to be over 35 degrees C. Please check the temperature before visiting or call (8352 4843) when the Gallery is open.
for a break at Christmas time (from just before Christmas until mid January)
over the Easter long weekend
at the time of the Royal Adelaide Show in September. This year it means the Gallery closes after Wed 30 August and reopens on Wed 13 September.
(The Guild has a stall at the Royal Show (in the Old Rams Shed). Goods normally sold in the Gallery are sold at the Show. Please visit us there!
Sometimes the Gallery is closed due to circumstances beyond our control.
Items for sale in the Gallery are goods produced by Guild members.
Goods feature handspinning, weaving, knitting, dyeing, felting, papermaking & associated techniques. Most are made from natural fibres, including wool, cotton, linen and silk. To ensure a high standard of work is maintained, goods sold in the Gallery are scrutinised by representatives of the Gallery.Remember, all are unique, handmade items, made locally. The range of supplies sold in the Gallery includes:
Raw fleece supplied by the Guild's fleece sellers (for spinning)
Fibres prepared for spinning from wool, silk, and bamboo and various mixes (such as merino/silk, merino/bamboo, merino/alpaca/silk) from First Edition Fibres and Bendigo
Landscape Dyes (both ordinary and Elements versions) and Earth Palette Dyes.
A limited range of Gaywool dyes (which are no longer being manufactured).
Superwash wool prepared for spinning. Please note: Superwash wool fibre is not suitable for felting.
Silk yarns
Small equipment such as tapestry bobbins, shuttles and niddy-noddies.
All of the supplies above are sold to the public as well as Guild members. (Guild members are offered a discounted price.)
The Little Glory Gallery is staffed by Guild volunteers and is managed by a group of interested Guild members.
