Procedure for Transfers

Below are the procedures for transferring a student to another program:

  1. Counselors need to ensure that the student has completed math & reading NWEA. If the student has not completed both portions of the test, they MUST finish testing before transferring.
  2. Counselors get confirmation from parents/guardians and Mr. Davenport after speaking with student/parents/guardians.
  3. Counselors contact receiving Counselor to inform of transfer and schedule when student will be moved.
  4. Sending Counselor sends staff-wide email stating the student is transferring and a brief and vague description as to why they are transferring.
  5. Receiving Counselor drops classes from previous location and makes the following changes in DASL:

-Drops all previous classes

-Changes Homeroom to new location staff

-Adds new classes

-Changes status to new location

-Changes Counselor to new Counselor
