Ocotea
Ocotea is an amazing essential oil. In my personal experience, it helped me recover from acidic pain in my stomach instantaneously and healed the sore spot. I put 1 drop under my tongue and wait until I get enough saliva to comfortably swallow. Gary Young puts Ocotea in his ice cream recipe.

Ocoatea Essential Oil (pronounced o ka tay ya)
Gary Young found this plant 3 years ago deep in the Amazon. It comes from the Rio Bambinosa area. Gary flys it out of the jungle to the road. Then it takes 14 hours to drive the ocoatea to the distillery at the Young Living farm.
Benefits –
It lowers blood glucose levels.
It is used as a food and flavoring agent.
It is used for diarrhea.
It’s a disinfectant and antiseptic.
In the jungle it is infused to make a tea.
Constituents:
Very high levels of alpha humalene (9.01) – an anti-inflammatory
Alpha pinene – 2.40
Beta pinene – 1.99
Eucalyptol – 3.46
Methyl cinnamate – 15.84
Trans cinnamaldehyde – 2.05 – a natural antibiotic; regulates blood sugar
In the jungles there are a lot of respiratory problems because of the high humidity.
The 1.8 cineole in eucalyptol is an anti-asthmatic agent. Ocoatea contains a level of 3.46 eucalyptol.
Gary has seen Ocoatea used by taking 3-4 drops under the tongue 3 to 4 times a day and blood sugar levels dropped in less than 10 minutes from 120 to 90,.
Alpha humalene reduces swelling better than beta pinene. Ocoatea has both of these constituents.
Ocoatea is excellent for eliminating candida.
At the Chongon Elementary school in Guayaquil they tested the children for parasites. Out of 110 students, 88 children had parasites and 32 had candida.
Gary gave the children 1 oz per day of the following mixture:
1 drop of ocoatea essential oil in 8 oz. of water. Each child was given a 1 oz. serving.
It was enough to kill the candida and parasites in the children.
Ocoatea is very effective in lowering cortisol levels.
Stress increases cortisol levels.
Chronic emotional burdens make cells age prematurely.
Chronic stress weakens the immune system. Stress breaks down the telomere strands in your DNA. It also increases the risk of cardiovascular disease.

Gary was using ocotea. He tested his morning cortisol level and it was 6.7! (Normal 6 am morning cortisol is between 25-27.)
Jed Adamsen- a Distributor from Idaho worked in Emergency Medical Services for 20 years. He is now a practicing Naturopathic Doctor. He came to the clinic to visit. Gary had him test Ocoatea essential oil in his clinic in Idaho.
Here are some of clinic results he had with his patients:
Used a few drops orally every day. Food cravings disappeared and weight started to come off.
A patient had athelete’s foot (fungus on the feet) that tea tree oil didn’t help. The patient started using ocoatea oil on him feet. Three to four days later the fungus was dead.
A 68 year old female was having a reaction to the medication that the doctor wanted to give her. She couldn’t get her blood sugar below 150. She took 3 drops of Ocoatea oil 3 times the first day and the next day her blood sugar dropped below 150.
A 22 year old female was a type I diabetic. She used 4 drops of Ocoatea oil 4 times a day and balanced her blood sugar levels.
A junior high girl was having behavior problems. She was unable to focus and was hyperactive. Her mother brought her to Jed Adamson because the school didn’t know what to do with her. He discovered that she had high blood sugar levels. He gave her Jerusalem artichoke with 2 drops ocoatea oil mixed with it. In two weeks she had a complete turnaround. Behavioral problems were gone, she didn’t need to nap anymore and she started losing weight.
A patient had discolored skin from a fungal problem. Jed had her use ocoatea oil on fungal problem. The skin discoloration went away on her forehead. (In the jungle it is very moist and there is a lot of fungus so the plants have to be resistant to the fungus. Oils from the amazon are excellent for bacterial and fungal problems )
A 67 year old female had low energy, was grumpy, couldn’t think clearly and wasn’t feeling well.
On 4/21/09 her blood sugar level was 340.
Started using ocoatea oil.
On 4/28/09 her blood sugar level was 212.
On 5/7/09 it was 147.
The woman continued to feel better and better.
