Using therapeutic grade essential oils to reach Pituitary Gland

Before you start using Young Living (YL) products, please read the Essential Oils user's guide attached. It is a comprehensive booklet about how to use your new oils.

On page four, it will describe the three basic ways to use essential oils: inhalation, topical application, and internal consumption. There will also be some safety guidelines and tips prior to the use of any essential oil. I encourage you to read this booklet that will be included with your oils order.

Just a few things (below) that should make your experience with these life enhancing products even better.

Therapeutic-grade essential oils are strong and safe when used as directed. (Refer to the "user's guide" for complete information.)

  • Read the label on the bottle before using essential oils.

  • Keep lids securely fastened and out of the reach of children.

  • Therapeutic grade essential oils may be used at full strength. An exception to this would be if one were to apply a “hot oil” such as cinnamon or oregano which would need to be “cooled down” with a carrier oil. Another exception would occur when applying oils to children. However, it is advisable to test a small amount of an oil the first time it is used on the soft, underside of your arm to see if there is a reaction. If an oil starts to irritate, rub the area with vegetable oil, which will help dissolve essential oil. Water will not work - it will only bring the oil to the surface. Most essential oils are immiscible.

  • Keep oils out of your eyes, ears, and away from mucous membranes. If you get oil in your eye, soothe with a drop of vegetable oil. Washing the eye with water does not help.

  • Be aware that some citrus oils may cause an increased reaction to the sun. Avoid prolonged sunbathing after applying pure citrus oils to the skin.

  • Do not use essential oils when pregnant without the supervision of a health professional.

  • Drink water to flush toxins

How do you know how much oil to use?

from The Chemistry of Essential Oils by David Stewart

"The answer lies in the purpose of the application. If you are fighting an army of bacteria, viruses, fungi, or parasites, or if you are dealing with bee toxin, snake venom, spider poison, or cancer cells, then more is better. You need an army to fight an army... (pg. 482).

However, if all you need to do is trip a few receptor sites to awaken your body's organs and natural functions, less is better."
