Last Saturday, 2/25/20012, I attended Gary Young’s seminar on Young Living company, weight loss, & Emotional Release Technique. I tried to document everything that was said there.

If I don’t explain something clearly, please send me your questions. It was a lot of note taking…

The meeting was open by a PR guy who shared his story and gratitude about his mom getting her hearing back after using Helichrysum. It took her 1 week of putting a drop behind her ear.

Next Gary’s wife, Mary, spoke about her children, Joseph (12), a baseball pitcher, and Jacob (8). I learnt that Gary (around 65?) loves to ski with his children on black diamond ski slopes.

Mary encouraged mothers to bring little children to YL events – she created a daycare/kids camp on site.

Mary’s boys do not know what medicine is – when they get sick they take oils. Her children eat healthy: kefir & a lot of other good things. Joseph did a science project for school on Aromatherapy.

I had a chance to volunteer the night before & also the day of the seminar, helping distribute the literature, at the registration, and then buying the products. This is where I met Susan, who volunteered at Gary’s farm in Idaho. She distilled oil, saw horses carrying lavender crop from the fields. She worked for 12 hours each day, soaking for 30 minutes in between in a bath tub with blue spruce to rest her hands (and open her mind – it works on the pituitary gland). It is good for asthma, is a pain killer and a hormone balancer. Gary worked very hard at the farm, and then, afterwards, drove a truck with 2 trailers for 3 hours in bed road conditions (the trailers did a “V” and almost hit each other – not sure, if I am re-telling this correctly). All Susan’s sister, who was getting a ride with Gary, could do was to make a sound that was appropriate for the situation. However, Gary didn’t lose his composure.

Later on the day of the seminar I attended, Gary invited Susan’s older sister to speak about her experience volunteering at the farm. Like her sister, she was glad to have had the opportunity to learn how much work and labor went into essential oils production.

Going back to Gary’s speech at the seminar; he shared with us that to get clarity, he goes to meditate up in the mountains.

At this event people came from Colorado, Mexico, Canada, Virginia, distributors as young as 19 and as old as 86. Gary gifted some people with Idaho Blue Spruce.

Gary Young looks much younger than in the picture, and “getting younger with each day”. He is funny, a double diamond skier, a extremely expressive and puts a lot of feeling when he speaks. He is very articulate and sometimes speaks like a preacher.

About the farms

Gary joked that he does not experience any stress – he handles the business while Mary handles the stress.

YL stock rose 12% in 2011.

Gary bought fields (St.Mary’s farm was used to raise cattle) and turned them into farms. In 1989 he distilled only 3ml of lavender.

Gary mentioned that besides YL, Kurt Schnaubelt carries quality oils – the only 2 companies in the world.

Movie Patriot shows Gary’s distillery. Gary wrote a 17-page script for the movie.

The soil at the farms is tested on frequency, biogenesis and fertility.

The plants’ roots are longer than at any other farm (the longer the root, the better the quality of the oil).

There are 251 certified noses in the world; these people live in the mountains, work 1 day/week. It takes them 21 years in training to become a certified nose.

This year Gary plans to plant 63,000 trees.

About Gary

Gary became a logger when he was 5-used horses & a chain. He came from a very poor family – they lived in a 2-room house with no running water, etc.

Gary was working as a logging contractor when he had an accident – a tree fell on his head a broke his head in 3 places. He was in a coma.

When Gary started farming he hadn’t much money, so he bought used equipment & repaired it himself. He turned fields from nothingness into magnificent!

It’s 82 degrees 14 feet below the ground in Ecuador.

Gary has a good engineer, who helped him save thousands of $$s by building a cooler (for $5,000 instead of $150,000 +).

Gary will open new farms this year – in Peru (June) and Columbia (90 days afterwards).

It took Gary 14 years to build the most extensive library in the world on all the oils and their molecule compounds. No-one in the world has the oils Young Living makes! For example, no-one else has Rosewood oil.

Dr.Cassablanca, the world’s authority on oil testing, who wrote standard for the AFNOR, came to Ecuador to program GS in the YL lab.

Gary dropped out of school in 6^th grade. He more than fulfilled his dream of getting a good education: for 22 years and on-going (started when he was 24 or 25).

Gary supported J.Simone in making changes in Peru. He represented North American tribes, who were fighting for their land being taken away from them. J.Simone spent 7 years in jail for it.

Gary built schools (from elementary to high) for 120 children in Ecuador. Now he wants to build a college.

He explained to school children’s parents the dangers of immunization – the parents consented not to immunize their children.

Gary spent 14 years researching about Frankincense – trips to Oman, Israel, Yemen, Egypt, etc. (the trail of Frankincense).

When Gary was following a trail of Frankincense in Yemen in the city of Shaban in turbulent times (a Dutch couple was kidnapped, people were shot in a close distance), Gary grew beard & played mute. Thus he was mistaken for a local & was able to pass 15 check points without a problem.

He told us a local legend about a serpent living in Frankincense trees & killing anyone who wanted to get near the tree. Frankincense tree is sacred in Oman & being protected by the government.

YL has farms in Ethiopia & France.

Gary built a tree house in Ecuador – a tree is growing thru the house – without using a single nail; 2 bedrooms with an elevator on the side, pulled by a rope.

YL is a highest-paying employer in Ecuador; giving full medical & dental, & educating the illiterate people. It employs 22,000 people!

When Gary buys land, he initially allows locals to plant on it, & then collect their crop.

Distilled oil is collected & tested for most powerful compounds – after 15 min. distillation, 30 min & 1 hour.

Gary on nutrition

• We reward our children with food that is killing them

• Women at 25 have osteoporosis

• Coca Cola bottle size increased from 8 oz, to 12 ox, to 20 oz, to 67 ox

• Pop corn – from 270 cal to a tub of 630 calories

• Bagel- from 3” 140 cal to 6” 350 cal

• Cheeseburger – from 33 cal to 590 cal

• French fries – from 2.4 oz 210 cal to 6.9 oz 610 cal

• 6 donuts & 1 drink (sweet & caffeine – trucker’s diet (Gary was a trucker, after the accident, when he couldn’t use his legs).

This year fat people will pay a surcharge to fly on the airplane.

Gary was fat and obese – 226 lbs – after the logging accident, and spent 10 years in a chair – 7 years on Prozac, 3 years on Morpheme for pain.

Most of Gary’s family are fat. He changed his life around – takes discipline! You don’t want to be seen in public, get into depression.

“Chicago news”: - lack of sleep linked to love handles & double chins in men.

Growth hormone is produced during sleep –important for any age, serves many functions.

• Medications block release of histamine

• Allergy is not a disease – a lack of digestive enzymes

Weight loss does not work, because it’s like losing keys & replacing them later with the new ones. It’s about health!

NPY unlocks cert. receptors in fat cells, causing them to grow.

Coffee & chocolate – not good for you

You need to reset taste buds – a 21-day fast

1 day a week have light breakfast (quinoa & fruit, coconut, drink fresh squeezed juice. The rest of the day drink NingXia Red,

eat green salad or fruit salad at night

You will reset the DNA!

Sugar consumption/pp/per year went up.

Use virgin coconut oil – prevents dementia, can cook with it – no carcinogens.

Onions – the highest sugar content (veggie). If after 1hr of eating an onion, you still have an onion breath – you’re not digesting sugar.

Yukon potatoes have no sugar.

Artificial sugar – cancer causing (sugar free, Splenda, Equal…)

In Gary’s clinic people lost weight & gained health.

Gary shared a story about a girl who came to the clinic. She was diagnosed with cancer & scheduled for chemo. Gary discovered that she had black mold poisoning. The girl was treated (I think he said in 2 weeks). She is expecting a baby soon.

Here are more notes on Gary Young’s seminar.

1.000 people attended this seminar. Gary gave another seminar in NY State, in a town above Syracuse – 900 people attended.

Slique Tea

Gary went to China to study Oolong tea. There are 17 grades of Oolong tea.

Jade Oolong :

• Liver cleanser & re-generator (vs. coffee which is toxic to the liver)

• Grows at 10,000 feet elevation

• Some of the Chinese people who picked the tea at the tea farm were in their 80’s. They all drank the Oolong tea & had as much energy as the 20-year old. You don’t get fat by working at the farm, but rather sitting on a couch & flipping TV channels

A little history

Camel carriers burnt Frankincense resin in tents to cleanse & stimulate themselves (Frankincense gave more energy for a long trip), and chewed on Frankincense to suppress appetite.

Frankincense is in Slique tea.

Balsam and Myrrh were worth 10 times more than gold.

Only Young Living has Sacred Frankincense.

Drinking the tea: balances metabolism

For O-type – drink ½ hour before meal

Cacao bean & chocolate are 2 different things: raw cacao is healthy for you.

Gary does not drink any other tea. The tea cleanses liver to help metabolism.

Jade oolong has caffeine in it

Pour the hot water in your cup, do that 3 times, then put your tea bag in. water has to be over 180%

The caffeine flashes off. So if you do that to your slique tea, there won’t be the caffeine.

If Gary’s kids eat something that other kids eat in school, Gary/Mary put Yukon syrup

Gary’s ice cream recipe:

1/3 maple syrup or 2/3 Yukon syrup

Raw goat milk

Coconut

Vanilla yogurt

Banana

Agave

2 cups of ice

12 drops of Slique essence
