Edema

Class,

Let me share with you a little knowledge I picked up from a Reiki book Magick of Reiki : focused energy for healing, ritual & spiritual development by Christopher Penczak.

We all know what emotions are buried inside our bodies. For example, when I touch one side of my stomach, I instantly know that the tension I feel there is from the memory of my mom's pain, when she was examined at the Sloan Kettering. I need to let go of it.

You can try this on yourself.

For edema, according to Louise Hay, the probable cause may be "what or whom won't you let go of?". She suggests a new thought pattern as "I willingly release the past. It is safe for me to let go. I am freer now. "

If this does not co-inside with your feelings, check my Essential oils for emotions to see what oil might be helpful for your particular emotions.

As far as a physical aspect of edema, according to Mayo clinic, "edema can be the result of medication, pregnancy or an underlying disease — often heart failure, kidney disease or cirrhosis of the liver. Taking medication to remove excess fluid and reducing the amount of salt in your food usually relieves edema. When edema is a sign of an underlying disease, the disease itself requires separate treatment."

My approach is always to cleanse first, starting with the colon, liver, kidneys, lymph, endocrine system, etc.

Nutrition is the next step.

It says in the EDR (please see the documents attached below), "potassium deficiency can make swelling worse". Potassium is the most important mineral for our blood. My preference would be juicing to get a lot of live nutrition for your cells.

When my mother-in-law was suffering from leg edema, I used Cypress, Lemongrass and many other oils, after bathing her feet a warm water with apple cider vinegar. You can read this story in my Healing stories.

The EDR below gives a great example of using Cel-Lite Magic Massage Oil, therapeutic grade essential oils of Cypress and Geranium. Cypress oil is used for circulation. Geranium, besides helping balance hormones and circulatory problems (improves blood flow), helps release negative memories and ease nervous tension. "It balances the emotions, lifts the spirit, and fosters peace, well-being, and hope."

Cel-Lite Magic Massage Oil "combines the health-enhancing benefits of specially selected vegetable oils with vitamin E and YLTG essential oils to nourish and tone skin. We add grapefruit essential oil to benefit skin texture and juniper essential oil to help detoxify and cleanse skin.
